Description
The moment I found myself at the waterfront in Boston one morning on my first visit to that beautiful city, I knew I'd be back there for sunset. I had a feeling that when the city lights came on and the dusk blue skies were in full effect, the result could be quite fantastic!
Of course, one element of that is how the skies look when dusk falls, but I lucked out that on my only opportunity of that trip, the skies over the Boston skyline were quite picturesque, don't you think?
Long Wharf is the heart of old Boston. This is where the ships entered and left port long ago. That's the reason that the Custom House clock tower can be seen at the end of the wharf. Before things built up along the waterfront, it's said the boats almost touched the front of the old custom house.
From what I read this area became a little run-down but Boston revitalized their waterfront in recent decades. I'm glad I got to see the result because Boston has one of the prettiest waterfront skylines it's been my pleasure to capture so far.
