Description
I spent multiple nights of my short trip in Boston in this area. I loved the beautiful skyline that mixes old and new architecture and despite how empty this scene feels, there were always other people out and about enjoying the sea air and the warm late summer nights.
I love that Boston has revitalized this part of the city and given it purpose for a new age. Commercial traffic would have arrived right here on Long Wharf back in the Boston's early days. Hence the clock tower for the custom house right at the end of the wharf where boats once docked from faraway ports of call. I've read this area went through a dismal period of neglect but you can see that the waterfront is thriving now!
And what a beautiful dusk blue in the sky - perfect complement to the city lights reflecting in the wet pavement of Long Wharf. And even though I'm not sure I would top this picture, if and when I make it back to Boston, I have no doubt I'd see another dusk fall right there on Long Wharf once more.
