One of the things I loved about Boston was the T! And that was after getting thoroughly turned around on it during my first wanders in Boston. I just can't help it. I love city's where I can get around fairly easily on public transit. At the time I visited Boston, The T was the first encounter I had with that kind of public transit here in the states.
On my second, and so far last, trip to Boston, I had to stop one night and try to capture one of those cute little Green Line trains. There's just something I love about the boxy angles and lines of those trains. They have an air of yesterday and the future, somehow moored in no time in particular but not the here and now? Perhaps retro-modern would be the right term?
Either way, this is a taste of night in Boston, somewhere in the neighborhood of Brookline. At least, it's how I will remember it. How about you? Do you have fun memories of the T as a local or a tourist like me?
