The weather was fantastic on my first trip to Boston several years ago now. Seeing that the weather was going to be great, I investigated what the outdoor options were and discovered the Boston Harbor Islands were the place to go on nice summer days in Boston.
I spent part of the day island hopping to a degree. I hardly saw them all, but I had a great time exploring the islands and the views from them. That was how I came to spend some time sitting on the coastline of one of those little islands watching the sailboats go by. Now that's gotta be the life - in summer at least! I definitely felt a little sailboat envy as I awaited the next water taxi! Ah, the taxi was more practical, and I'm a creature of practical! Sigh!
Still, there's something I find so incredibly serene about watching a sailboat glide across calm waters. There's just something magical and peaceful about that kind of transportation, don't you think?
