On my first trip to Boston, I spent most of a day checking out some of the Boston Harbor Islands. It seemed a great choice for a beautiful day in late summer, and it also afforded me some beautiful views of the city and the sailboats that were on the harbor waters that day.
You can imagine how excited I was when I saw this classic schooner gliding magnificently across the water with the city skyline in the background! Ah, I wish I had been able to see it closer as I'm sure riding such a beautiful boat must be a great experience. But I think I had the best view of it! There's just something about those old style tall ships. Maybe it's just that romantic feeling that old things are somehow better, but there's something beautiful about those old ships to me. And I think I'm not alone on that!
I also love the eclectic mixing of the ages, a classic tall ship juxtaposed against the modern skyline of Boston.
