Dunguaire Castle in County Galway, Ireland, is thought to be the most photographed castle in Ireland. And seeing it for myself, I understand why. It very much has the look of a proper castle home, doesn't it?
The original photo this piece of textured art is based on was taken on a winter day in late December 2009. True to my nature, when faced with a short stop, I walked up the road to the little village to take this photo rather than go with the rest to walk up to the castle and peek into the locked gates. I knew I had to take my chance to get a good landscape shot of such a beautifully restored old tower house.
