Description
I only had one brief day to encounter the beauty of Dingle and County Kerry, but what a beautiful sun soaked time it was!
All the travel guides seem to point out that the village of Dingle has the most pubs per capita of any place in Ireland. Apparently a lot of the shops in town serve dual purposes like a hardware store and a pub, a shoe store and a pub, etc. I didn't get to test that theory during my breif visit to Dingle, but I did enjoy my lunch in Murphy's Pub which you see pictured here, and I'll never forget how nice it felt to be inside by the hearth after a chunk of the day spent seeing the sites around the Ring of Kerry, etc.
I don't know if my one day was typical of the quality of light in County Kerry, but it if was, then I entirely understand why so many artists reportedly settle in and near Dingle. Wow!
