Description
There's no way I'll ever forget Galway, at least as long I retain my right mind. It was one of a handful of cities that truly got under my skin. And it was here that I spent so much of my time, walking along the Claddagh, admiring the views of the city.
Between the blue waters and the beautiful skies on the right is a city block known as The Long Walk, which starts at the Spanish Arch. On the left is Claddagh Quay and in between the two, we can just see the mouth of the River Corrib, which is apparently Europe's shortest river.
What a gorgeous bit of landscape, eh? That's at least part of the reason Galway got to me so much. But it was more than just natural beauty and history, there was a vibe there that I think you'll comprehend if you've lived or visited this city on the west coast of Ireland. I'm not sure I can capture something that ineffable with my camera, but I think each of us who've been there carry it within us and you'll see it again looking at my photos of that beautiful city on the bay.
