Anyone who takes more than a passing look at my various images of Britain will know that I have an official obsession with Red British Telephone Boxes. Before I ever set foot on British soil, I regarded these as as icons of Great Britain. And I can't be alone, how many of these vintage telephone booths do you see in theme bars and pubs?
This particular piece is one of my more recent additions, but based on a photo taken during my visit to London back in 2008. Although the photo doesn't show any of the landmarks of London, it was taken along the Thames on a beautiful sunny afternoon. One of the things I really like about this picture is that despite it being in London, to the observer, it's not place-specific, it's simply a whimsical British scene.
