Description
Yes, again, I'm going to describe the New York City skyline, particularly Manhattan, as looking precisely like it was computer generated for a video game like the old Sim City classics. Maybe despite the years I spent in a city, I still look at a place like this with the eyes of a small town kid. I have taken quite a few photos of the Manhattan skyline on my visits there because I'm literally astounded by it at every turn.
This particular view is from the western side of Manhattan, overlooking the shoulder to shoulder office towers that feel as if they stand on their own straight out of the water. In the foreground is another boat and its wake heading towards the buildings, perhaps to a dock or the small marina on the right hand side.
And a little secret you might not notice on first looking but a small feature I love is that just inside the frame on the left side is the unmistakeable Empire State Building in the distance. Hardly the subject of the photo, but it's a neat thing to spot when you search the details of this rich image.
