I believe virtually all of my trips to London have ended wandering with a heavy heart in Piccadilly Circus. This colorful junction in the heart of the city is London's answer to Times Square. While you don't see the glitzy giant moving billboards in this image, rest assured they are there and the jumble of colored lights striking the pavement is the evidence.
This textured image is based off a photograph from my (so far) last visit to London in 2008. For me, it really captures the energy of Piccadilly Circus, the constant presence of black cabs and red double decker buses and the frenetic motion of people moving through the streets. I can almost hear the sounds of the streets again just staring at this picture.
