Description
One of the things I most loved about the streets of Paris was that there was so much Art Nouveau architecture and architectural details to see. As a whole, Art Nouveau was a relatively short period, but Paris seemed to adopt the organic lines of Art Nouveau with a passion that never entirely ended. Take the beautiful lines of this classic Art Nouveau Paris Metro entrance for example. Paris stubbornly clings to this design to the point they are still made in this signature style even today!
I had been looking for a well lit Paris Metro entrance most of my time in Paris. I saw plenty of them, but in winter, many of them were in deep shadows. When I stumbled across this one on my walk to Pere-Lachaise cemetery, I had to stop. I knew this opportunity wouldn't reveal itself again, and it was an excellent example of a Parisian street scene anyway, the iconic buildings, the street corner cafe. This is Paris!
