Every good trip includes the unexpected. That was what the American Cemetery and War Memorial near Cambridge was for me. I went to Cambridge to see an historic university town. I wasn't expecting this stop along the way and it turned out to be one of the more memorable parts of that trip.
If you are like me and had no idea, this cemetery in England is where over 3,000 American war dead from World War II rest. The row upon row of white crosses in a quiet field was quite moving and powerful. And I did my best to do that scene justice.
