Description
There are some activities that are just prerequisites when visiting certain cities. I couldn't have imagined saying I went to Cambridge without adding that I had punted on the River Cam. It just felt like a must-do-activity to me.
And as you can tell, it was as serene and picture perfect as one might imagine it should be. The weather in late summer was perfect and the skies perfectly atmospheric.
It took me quite some time to identify this building. Well, probably it took me quite some time to sit down and do it, but this is the back of the Wren Library at Trinity College. I should have known this had the marks of a master architect! This side of Cambridge is known locally as The Backs - that is the sides of the University that face the water - often the best views!
On that lazy afternoon, the waters were calm and there were few others enjoying the moment, but I did manage to capture one more creature enjoying the day. We were approached by this goose, likely one who was used to getting hand outs from passersby. He made a perfect point of interest in those languid reflecting waters.
