Description
It feels like half the places I've been I want to return. I don't know if other travelers have that affliction or not, but in fairness I only had a couple of days to take in the colorful beauty of Oaxaca. Many of the streets of Oaxaca are filled with historic buildings. So much so in fact that the historic city center is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There's a wealth of colonial history on these streets, like the brightly colored hotel in the foreground, once a colonial home in Spanish times.
This particular photo reminds me fondly of the streets of Oaxaca and the uncanny beautiful skies that seemed to hang over it during my whole time there. Oaxaca really did seem to be the full package for any visual artist, old world Spanish architecture and brilliant colors. Sign me up for a trip back to capture more of the innate beauty of this Colonial Mexican city.
