This landscape panorama from the gorgeous Isle of Skye was my first real attempt at a panorama. I had made a couple of attempts before and read up on the process, but it was the first time I was determined that I had to use the panorama format. In case it's not clear why, it was because standing there on the Quiraing and looking across the vista before me, I just had to attempt to capture as much of it as possible. One frame of the camera was just not enough for that expansive and awe inspiring view!
I can't say how thrilled I was when I got home and the panorama was successfully assembled. I had never seen anything like Skye before or since and this illustrates I was not dreaming! At least I hope not.
I've since read up on this amazing landscape and discovered that this is the result of what is called a land-slip. The earth literally just drops away and leaves these wild peaks and cliffs behind. And it's quite active. I'm told that the roads on the Quiraing on the Is...
