Description
It's funny that I would ordinarily not choose pink. It's never been a top of the list color for me, but the moment I saw this little pink house on the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, it just felt right? Maybe it's the dusty hue? Or the gorgeous golden afternoon sun it was bathed in? I'm not sure, but I also looked at it and immediately thought of the John Mellencamp song about Little Pink Houses and the title for this photo from my Williamsburg adventure was already written in stone.
The thing is when walking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, one is never sure what's old and what's a reproduction. They've done an incredible job of researching and rebuilding the lost architecture of this Colonial city. I looked it up when I was home and it turns out this little building, known as the Isham Goddin Shop is a genuine piece of 18th century Americana.
