Description
Granada was literally awash in old Spanish Colonial architecture, much of it original. Much of it near the historic core of the city was in the process of being renovated, which made the rustic charm of this little casa much more noticeable.
I passed this spot several times taking photos from different angles in different light, but it was honestly a chance moment that created the scene pictured. Just after I finished framing this shot of the old red walls and that beautiful and detailed corner door, it opened. And out for just a moment stepped the lady of the house and her pet dogs.
That, I knew right then, was what was missing, the human element, but not just any human wandering along the streets of Granada but the little old lady who called this particular casa home.
Definitely a little slice of life on the streets of an historic city in Nicaragua.
