Restored 1939 Poster presenting the classic Fairy Tale of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. This stylized design by Kenneth Whitley was for the Federal Government's Works Progress Administration from the New Deal era. The now vintage WPA posters were designed to publicize exhibits, community activities, theatrical productions, and health and educational programs. Many of the ones like this one focused on classic fairy tales were to promote reading.
