There has been a lighthouse on Tybee Island near Savannah almost as long as the history of Georgia as a colony. The first light was built in 1733. And although the light has been rebuilt a number of times, the current one dates back to shortly after the US Civil war.
This scene is from an early morning visit to Tybee Island Lighthouse before the crowds arrived and bathed in the rays of the morning light.
