As beautiful as an empty beach can be, there's something about including people in the scene that completes the image sometimes.

Is it simply that they give scale to this landscape? Or is it that viewer looks at this image of friends strolling on the beach and those figures become the viewer, transport the viewer into the image? I choose the latter, personally! Even though I was standing on that very windswept beach that day, when I look at this photo, I instantly take the place of my friends walking barefoot in the surf...
