Fair Weather On St Simons Island - Georgia Lighthouses
Georgia's coastal lighthouse are filled with history and sometimes that history still lives there. The beautiful lighthouse on St Simon's Island is, after all, reputed to be haunted by one of its former keepers.
Whether or not the keeper is still there, it's a gorgeous coastal light. The original was destroyed during the civil war, but the current light and keeper's cottage date from 1872. The cottage is a beautiful piece of Victorian architecture isn't it? It's not surprising this is a favorite location of weddings and receptions!
