I stumbled over a beautiful black and white photograph apparently taken somewhere in Georgia in 1943 by photographer Esther Bubley. It was part of a series of work she did for the US Govt's Office of War Information during war time on the bus system of the south and Midwest. The connection to my own area of Georgia and the beautiful vintage feel of it... well, I was inspired, as you can see, to create a photo-based artwork

The result is a beautiful slice of Americana and a look at the styles in the early 1940s in the US.
