Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. My only trip to Dublin so far was in the midst of winter, but this print very much fits my imaginings of a spring day in that beautiful city. Some day I will compare reality to my imagination!
The Liffey Bridge is a landmark over the river, but most people know it by its informal name, the Ha'Penny Bridge. It's been nearly a century since a toll was charged to pass between north and south Dublin, but, you guessed it, the toll was a half penny. This historic bridge is the oldest cast iron bridge in Ireland and a beautiful example of one!
