Description
I don't think it's unlocking a state secret to say that I will sometimes remove a power line from a photo. And even more often I will try to shoot around them altogether. But sometimes, it's not possible and I'm not even sure it's reasonable. If you've walked down the streets of a Mexican city or town, those omnipresent power lines are part of the streetscape. You expect to see them! So, I felt I should have a photo or two that actually took advantage of those dangling and crisscrossing electrical wires.
If you've wandered the streets of an old Mexican city like Merida, I suspect this feels familiar doesn't it? Weather worn stucco accented by wires, and poles... This is the Mexico I remember!
Even so, I suspect like many other places, the lines will eventually move underground and this picture of life in Mexico will seem ever so quaint. Sigh!
