A painterly panorama of the famous Louvre Museum in Paris!
Truly what a beautiful palace which we now know today as a world class museum. It's also part of UNESCO designated World Heritage site that follows the course of the River Seine from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower. As I walked that stretch many times over in my short time in Paris, I can attest that it is chock full of monumental and historical buildings like the Louvre itself.
As I stood there on the banks of the Seine on my last day in Paris, I couldn't believe how beautiful the Louvre looked against the winter skies with the soft warm glow from the sun. I was determined to get a photo of that whole scene, which from this spot required a panorama.
And as you can tell when it came time to edit, I felt it truly called for a textured technique to get to the vintage painterly feel I had in mind - something of which I already felt the skies were reminiscent.
