Artist's Description

The first two years I lived in Atlanta, I lived near Buckhead and knew the area well. The last 8 years I spent living and working in the northern suburbs of the city and spent less time seeking out the urban scenes that Atlanta proper had to offer.

In my last week, I decided to take a long walk up Peachtree Street and was surprised how many new towers had sprung up in the urban core of the city.

This one, which I've since found out is now known as The Mandarin Oriental, was one of those newcomers, and I have to say that against cloud-filled skies it has a pseudo sci-fi feel to it that I quite like.

For the Atlanta area folks, that's the Buckhead MARTA station in the foreground.

About Mark Tisdale

Mark Tisdale

Life is full of happy surprises. After just over a decade working in the 9 to 5 cube world, I threw caution to the wind to follow my dreams of being a full time visual artist. My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art. Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
