With great irony, my first visit to see Savannah and the coast ended up mainly being a visit to beautiful Tybee Island. I had, of course, grown up hearing about how beautiful Tybee Island was. My family, though, was from South Alabama so our beach trips tended to be the Florida panhandle, and I lived in ignorance about how pretty Georgia's coast could be.

It was late summer when I visited. School was back in and the beach was deserted compared to what I hear it is in high season, but it was like having a little slice of paradise to myself. I can feel the ocean breezes and smell the salt air again just looking at this scene! How about you?

Warm reflecting wet sands beneath my feet and picturesque skies... I must go back to the Georgia coast again soon to remind myself these photos are not from a dream.

Life is full of happy surprises. After just over a decade working in the 9 to 5 cube world, I threw caution to the wind to follow my dreams of being a full time visual artist. That was five years ago! Is it easy? No, but something truly worthwhile is rarely simple. My body of work is wide ranging from photographic scenes of far away places, more near and dear locations, and more fanciful artwork. It's all crafted with a heartfelt love for finding the beauty in little captured moments. My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art.
