Description
This little section of the Manhattan skyline is so timeless and representative of a typical New York City street that it took me some years to finally locate the exact location.
My search was hampered by the fact that I had a quick snapshot of the ground floor of this same corner building and it showed that there was a Papaya King there. Well, I finally manged to discover that it closed and later moved some short months after my first visit to the Big Apple back in 2009. It turns out this corner shop is now a bagel shop and this is the corner of 7th Avenue and 14th Street in the West Village.
But in my eyes, this will always be a timeless capture of NYC's pre-war apartment buildings complete with old wooden water tanks. An image of New York that could have been made last year or 30 years ago and not much would be different today!
