This homage to the 'Great British Winter' is the fourth and final in a four part series illustrating each season of the year in Britain. For winter, I knew from the start that the Phone box would be in a snowy field. What I didn't know would be the subject that would complete the them.
Having several overtly Christmas themed telephone boxes, I wanted this to be more winter season and a little less Christmas.
Not that I couldn't easily picture this on my Christmas cards, you know?
But no snowy pines - at least not up close. Suddenly I pictured a super moon hanging above and well, that's that. If you check out the rest of the series, you'll see that a bright red classic Telephone Box is part of the entire series - a tribute to a favorite subject of mine and an iconic British object.
