Description
There was something about this particular street near Puebla's historic center that really called to me. I loved the deep colors, the unevenly fading paint and the rough texture of the old crumbling stucco.
And although I could be quite wrong, I thought this block of Puebla appeared quite old. The heavy windows and the thick walls have a decidedly Spanish Colonial look to them. And Puebla's historic city center is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site, so there's a decent chance these buildings are also as old as they appear!
What I liked most about this street scene from Puebla, though, wasn't just the colorful walls, but the hum of life. Maybe it was too near lunch time and I was secretly looking for a meal, but notice how many of these open shops lead into restaurants or have street food available to walk away with. I think I accidentally walked into a Mexican Smorgasbord in Puebla! Let's have a meal on the colorful streets of Puebla!
