Artist's Description

A night view of the old Alabama Theatre on the streets of Birmingham, AL. The Alabama Theatre has a familiar story to anyone who loves historic movie palaces. Built in the 1920's for Paramount's chain of theaters, it would later decline as the city's urban core faded. Most of its contemporaries faded away but the Alabama Theatre was ultimately saved and today is the official state theater of Alabama.

Based on several different photos taken of the old Alabama Theatre by the Historic American Building Survey for the US government, probably circa the 1980s or 1990s.

That was five years ago! Is it easy? No, but something truly worthwhile is rarely simple. My body of work is wide ranging from photographic scenes of far away places, more near and dear locations, and more fanciful artwork. It's all crafted with a heartfelt love for finding the beauty in little captured moments. My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art. Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
