I came and went through beautiful Galway several times during my stay in Ireland. The first time, it was only an overnight stop and I came and left in the dark. But there was some draw to this city on the west coast of Ireland that I can't explain to you. I came back, and stayed here before and after a visit to Inishmore. And I utterly loved this city.
This textured photo was the scene on a winter morning on Saint Brendan's Avenue just before I left Galway for good. And it's how the city is emblazoned on my memory, the crowded streets, the rows of old world houses, the beautiful winter skies...
Maybe you have to have been there to feel it, but I feel Galway in my heart when I look at this picture, how about you?
