Description
Dingle was one of those places you visit and the reputation precedes it. I had heard that a lot of artists settle in this corner of Ireland, and of course, that Dingle has more pubs per capita than anywhere else in Ireland. Often when you've heard too much about a place, it fails to live up to the hype, but Dingle certainly seemed a lovely place to me. I didn't do enough research in my short afternoon there to decide if the Pub reputation was deserved but it seemed likely.
Until you see the clothes of the people in this photo, it's almost too hard to believe it's this pretty on a winter day! The sunlight on this winter day, the First of January, 2010, was just fantastic. And it was this incredible light soaking into the colorful buildings of this Irish village that made me understand why so many artists settle in this gorgeous region of Ireland. I know I'd love to.
