Description
As I've said before, when you are photographing something well known, it's hard to come up with a truly unique interpretation. Even more so when it's a landmark like the Eiffel Tower. Here's a structure that is known around the world and has been photographed and painted by countless people. Still, that's not a reason to pass it by, that's a reason to accept the challenge and try harder. I don't know if I would tire of it if I lived there, of trying to find a new vantage point or a new technique, but in my short 5 nights, I never tired of visiting Tour Eiffel and making another stab at it.
This print features a number of layers in its creation. I was going for a very vintage feel and a bit of fantasy, hence the stars falling and the general sepia coloring. I'm very happy with the result, too. It's definitely very much my Eiffel Tower now.
