Description
One of my earliest trips out of the US was a road trip to see one of my favorite bands play in Mexico. As we trekked from Arizona to Mexico, the sun began to drop to the horizon. The camera I had at the time was best used for personal memories but for years after, I had a treasured photo of the silhouette of a saguaro cactus against pink and blue streaked dusk skies. The photo eventually vanished in one hard drive crash or another and all I had was that dreamy memory of the Sonoran desert somewhere between Phoenix and 'Rocky Point' Mexico. Since the original photo is long-gone, I couldn't even guess which side of the border we were on at the time. But that gorgeous desert landscape doesn't know borders either as it extends across states in the American Southwest and Northern Mexico. If you've driven through or vacation in the Sonoran Desert, maybe this reminds you of your own adventures there?
