Description
The landmark Six Pence Pub on Bull Street in historic Savannah. There's been a British pub in this location for more than 40 years. It was operated first by a couple from Britain and later by Americans who loved their local watering hole and wanted to expand on the idea. It's easy to spot in Savnnah because of the fun red Telephone Box located adjacent to it. So, you know that since those are a favorite of mine, this was a fun subject!
My favorite way to illustrate a night scene is with reflecting wet streets whether in actual photos or of my own invention. In this case, this is the latter! Done in a mixture of watercolor and acrylic and scanned in so that final detail work could be done in Corel.
