Description
Where there are plenty of differences between life in the day of ancient Pompeii and today, one thing that felt eerily familiar was standing among the ruins of the Little Greek Theater. Much may have changed in two thousand years, but I could imagine sitting in one of those worn seats and watching a play. In fact, we were told that there are occasionally modern day performances on the stage at Pompeii. That must be incredibly surreal!
There's something so timeless about this scene. It felt like it could have as easily been captured a century ago as today. That was the inspiration for the worn sepia quality to this scene from Pompeii.
