There's just something about the streets of Latin America that always make me smile. It seems that no matter where you go bright and happy colors are embraced!
It's even better when those beautiful colors grace old world architecture like in the Spanish Colonial city center of Granada, Nicaragua. I went there with little back story on the city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, but I quickly fell under its spell and have wished many time since for at least one more chance to wander those beautiful old streets.
This view is based on an afternoon wander, arriving back in the central plaza of the town. Over the trees is the beautiful cathedral of Granada. I loved how its towers peeked over the tropical green plants. And of course, there's the beautiful reflecting colors in the street puddles to top off this little snippet of life in colorful Granada.
