Artist's Description

There's just something about the mid 20th century that has a certain glamour. This artwork is based on an original black and white photo of the Chicago Theatre on State Street taken in 1949 for Look Magazine, which was published from 1937-1971. After the magazine ceased publication, the bulk of the photos for their publication were donated to the Library of Congress. And clearly they are a beautiful look at those golden years of America.

The Chicago Theatre has stood since 1921. While many old theaters of that era have faced the wrecking ball, the Chicago is one of those rare stories of preservation in America's big cities.

My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art. Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
