The beautiful sign of the Fabulous Fox Theatre rising above Peachtree Street in the falling rain. This Atlanta, GA, landmark is a poster child for historic preservation. In the 1970s it was threatened with demolition to make way for new buildings on the Midtown Atlanta skyline. Locals fought and won in the preservation effort. And now the Fox isn't a footnote in history, it's a living legacy.
