Edinburgh is one of those cities that I could see again and again without tiring of it. I've been twice and every time I look back at my pictures from this beautiful place, I wonder why I haven't been more recently? Edinburgh was actually one of the very early places I visited. Even in winter, I fell in love with the beautiful and varied architecture of the city. Edinburgh has everything from castles to modern architecture. It's a city renowned for its history but not stuck in the past.
I think the view in this picture overlooking the city illustrates that Edinburgh is a city of all ages. In the foreground we see the old world architecture of the Grassmarket and as we move out we see new and old buildings on the campus of the Edinburgh College of Art. A little something for all architecture fans, don't you think?
