When I spotted this older couple on the Bir-Hakeim bridge in Paris, I was struck by the moment, the golden light, the statue, and of course the Eiffel Tower on the Parisian skyline. There was just something magical about the scene and how timeless it felt. Had they stood here before years ago? Was this their chance to see Paris at last? Or were they simply a French couple out for a walk admiring their own city?
There are only guesses, but I loved their place in this Parisian scene, and I wanted to create a print that spoke of True Love of lasting love, and this was the first image that came to my mind. And Paris being known as the City of Love, it seemed even more perfect a selection.
I spent hours hunting for the right words to fit the thought I had in mind, and after reading a ton of quotes on Love, and travel, and Paris, nothing fit. So, I decided to keep the message sweet and simple, We may pass in time, but surely our love for each other like the cities we build, speak for us long after we're gone?
