Description
There's no question that the heart of old Dublin is the River Liffey. It was along these banks that the long ago vikings settled what would one day be known as Dublin, the capital city of the modern day Republic of Ireland.
I don't know if the banks of the river were truly the most picturesque parts of the city or if I was just attracted to them personally for some reason, but I often found myself walking along and admiring the waterfront you see here.
This cityscape was taken on a beautiful day. Or at least in my estimation of the word beautiful. Although the skies are somewhat moody, the light was fantastic. Hence the golden he to the buildings and those great reflections in the Liffey. I am partial to dramatic scenes like this, myself. And it's how Dublin survives in my mind still, a dramatically beautiful Irish city.
