The Isle of Skye was just one beautiful vista after another. I was stunned by how much punch this little island packed. This scene showing Mealt Falls and Kilt Rock was taken early on our first morning on the island having arrived after dark the night before. So, you can see how shocking it was to see this beautiful landscape, having no clue it looked like this the night before.
In the distance on this little piece of coastline is Kilt Rock, so called because the lines in the cliff face are reminiscent of the fold of, you guessed it, a Kilt. To me, those cliffs were almost outdone by the sheer drop of Mealt Falls in the foreground. Check out the light mists on the distant rocks... That drop was high on my mind as I stood there trying to lean a little further out to take it all in...
Years have passed and I still remember the smile that spread across my face looking at one beautiful landscape after another on Skye and I'm thrilled that I was able to capture some of that b...
