Description
Sometimes a different perspective can make all the difference. In this case, I don't remember how I came to be leaned backwards looking up, but when I did, I realized that the angle on the facade of this building in Manhattan at night created a much more interesting angle on the subject, I think, than straight on.
I particularly love the pattern of the windows, crossing at an angle rather than up and down and the irregular lighting with some windows emitting a warm glow and others dark. It just speaks to me on a level I can't quite explain. Maybe you get that same sense of random yet harmonious geometry?
I chose to texture the original photo very lightly to accentuate the patterns and geometry inherent in the image. I wanted to retain the original light and color of the picture but make the lines a bit bolder. Each of my images is very much my interpretation of the moment at this moment. They evolve and change over time.
