Artist's Description

When I was growing up in Macon County, Georgia, our old courthouse was not nearly so pretty as it is today. Like so many grand old buildings, it had been a victim of changing tastes that saw all that beautiful old brick painted over in what I remember as a gray-green off-white color. It was later restored to its old grandeur as seen in this local scene.
