Description
There are a few keys scenes or places in Dublin that remain strong in my memory years after my month of travel in Ireland. And this is one of those places, looking down the River Liffey from the famous Ha'Penny Bridge.
Bachelor's Walk is the nearest quay on the left. And it was this bit of the city overlooking the Liffey that I saw the first time I found my way to that historic river in the city center. And there's still something about them that quite reminds me of photos I've seen of Amsterdam. I guess there's a bit of an old world European vibe that they may have in common?
If you follow the river side, you eventually reach Liberty Hall beneath those moody skies. Liberty Hall is a 1960's skyscraper - quite the piece of 60's modern architecture isn't it? I was surprised to read that it's slated for demolition and a new Liberty Hall will rise there. How fast the skylines of our modern cities change!
