I doubt seriously that on any of my multiple visits to Britain that I've come back without multiple images of their stylish red telephone boxes. I love that even in a day of mobile phones, you can still find them, particularly in areas that are even somewhat visited by tourists. There's just an expectation to see these telephone booths dotting the landscape of British cities and villages. In fact, many if not all of them, are protected listed buildings today.
This particular artwork is from the Thames Embankment near the Temple Tube Station. It happens to be amongst my oldest prints and has been without a doubt my most popular single piece. It never seems to fail to garner attention both from Anglophiles and those who are simply attracted to that bright pop of red against the graphical black and white London sidewalk.
