I boarded a hot air balloon one chilly morning just before sunrise in Egypt. I had no idea what to expect. I mean, of course, I understood the general concepts of how a hot air balloon achieves flight, but it was my first time experiencing it in action.
I'll never forget standing there and feeling the heat as the hot air balloon burners kicked into action. The morning was suddenly a little less cold! I had to take a photo of the balloon equipment in action! Such raw energy in those propane powered flames and you can tell the folks who own those balloons have pride in them. Look at that shiny chrome!
Seeing that pride made me feel a little more confident we'd land happily on the other end of our flight over the famous Valley of the Kings.
